"This may no be politically correct, all I'm saying is that because one soldier, who converted to islam, snapped and killed a whole lot of "true" americans, it appears all muslims are terrorists, hate America and are secretly supported by President Barak "Sleepercell" Hussein."

Seems to me that the "PC card" is just another version of the "I'm not a racist, but... card" or the "Race card." Playing these cards, does not somehow magically, change the value of the following sentence.

This may not be PC, but this thread is garbage...

Great post sandman, I have to agree with you at 100%, and about the "political correctness", I just think that people are so afraid to admit the truth - that some people live in our societies, work inside our institutions, looks like quiet citizens, and are nevertheless ready to kill us just because of their racism and religious hate - they are so afraid to see this terrible truth in face, that they prefer look in other directions, while the evidences are just at their feet.

Sounds like BS right wing propaganda to me

Can those activist lawyers really meddle with military laws etc?

Yes, it was a terrorist act. But stop with the 9/11 thing, please.

9/11 is 9/11. Otherwise poeple will start calling their own little 9/11s whenever they feel it's comparable.
I agree.............

Assuming there is some accuracy in what I've read about the Ft. Hood shooter my impression is that he was simply not up to the demands and requirements of his job, duties, and rank and was unable to admit that to himself. To conceal this, as much from himself as others, he chose to blame it on the society he lives in. His actions were a product of his own silly human pride, the emotion that goes before the fall and makes fools of us all. Islam is his excuse, not his reason for what he did.

I can agree with only a few sentences from the article but overall is just a hate letter from a prideful bigot.

Just my opinion.

I will call it as I see it Nadir Hasan is a Radical Islamist Extremist an (Islamic militant) In other words a TERRIOST Home Grown and nurtured by liberalism which will continue its quest for the raising and the breeding of lazy stupid American slackers in any color, religion, or political view point so long as it agrees with their world view as seen thru their rose colored glasses.

Oh,.....And just let me say what I feel and think, and it does not agree with the radical left wing pod, AH.......Well then..... ,I am the racist, neocon, bible thumping, backwoods red neck, white trailor trash talking, who is enemy that is the problem????...Wake Up Folks!

Not all liberals are radical.....Not all conservatives are republican or neocons........Just Like...........All Islamists are not Radical Islamist Extremists.....that's right the shoe does not always fit so learn what the difference is.

I know I am wound up and REALLY PO'd..One of the soldiers murdered in cold blood was a friend and neighbor...May nadir burn in hell for all eternity and I am being nice about it!!!!

Now excuse me while I get stinking friggin drunk...my apologies for my rant

Here's one professional's take:

This man has been marginally effective socially for decades, and it has nothing to do with PTSD or exposure or alleged harassment.

He chose to present an identity as Palestinian many years ago, which indicates he identified himself with a generally radicalized group that embraces a victim/martyr mentality on a cultural level.

His Imam said he rejected every woman who was recommended as a wife on one little thing or another. No one measured up -- this suggests both a degree of narcissism and impaired social abilities.

He was isolated and difficult, and this is not new -- he had no friends, he never told his family he was being deployed, colleagues describe him as either someone very quiet who kept to himself or as someone who was rigidly opinionated.

A former classmate said he openly espoused anti-American, anti-military, and jihadist Muslim ideas and opinions IN PUBLIC for at least 3 years, presenting them in the guise of classwork. He provoked religious and political arguments, then claimed he was being persecuted.

The only visitor he is known to have ever had at his apartment was a bearded man in traditional islamic clothes a day before the shooting.

Despite being an officer with his own computer, he often borrowed a neighbor's laptop computer. (Be interesting if that was for porn or jihadi stuff.)

As far as PTSD -- there is not much research to support the development of vicarious traumatization by therapists -- yes, it happens (and most likely among clinicians working with severe torture victims), but the likelihood of someone with vicarious PTSD going postal because of it, is microscopic.

He must have been a terrible clinician -- not only arguing with PTSD patients, but also reportedly he told his family stories of his patients' experiences, which is a gross violation of ethics -- actually both things are. It's not that often that medical interns and residents get 'extra counseling,' and it's a sign of real problems -- I have had such guys referred to me for evaluation a number of times.

So we have a self-absorbed, paranoid, isolated and socially inept loser with ego-redemptive power-fantasies wrapped in a religious ideology that supports such interpretations. A classic shooter profile waiting for the right trigger (the narcissism means a suicide bombing wouldn't be cool enough).

IF he was disintegrating psychologically over recent months and this was an impulsive and desperate act triggered by upcoming deployment, then his superiors and clinical colleagues should all be court-martialed, not to have seen something was so wrong.

Or they didn't see anything wrong (as they all reportedly say) because this was a planned, controlled decision. His personality would have been psychologically very maneuverable by the right jihadi 'mentor'.

What a pathetic excuse you're giving to this scumbag, nobody forced him to enlist, when you enlist in armed forces, you must be prepared that you'll have to obey to your gvt, whatever the decisions, and whatever if you agree or not with these decisions.

Poor guy, "he just didn't wanted to go to iraq", that explain very well the murder of 13 innocent men! All soldiers that doesn't want to go to iraq or A-stan should react the same!
