As Armored recce we were issued those c8a3 too. But we manage to get Elcan anyway tru the chain of command for the 1-09. Hope you guy will have a nice tour in 2010 our kinda sucked.

Which weapon tech from the battle group was with you guys for the tour? I work with them (from 2e R22R) but I stayed behind on l'arrière-garde and they're all on vacation right now.

At frontenac we had that all tattoed guy from Valcartier. He is an Mcpl anglo. Cant remeber his name tho.

Did you notice the holes in his ears from having had spacers before?

yup that him. He was a cpl and got promoted without his course on tour.

That's what happened to my old boss here. He got promoted to MCpl and got posted where you are since they decided to not keep MCpl weapon techs in infantry battalions apparently.

My two cents; Gen 2 Elcan Spectre DRs. I bought one civvy side, have it mounted on my C8 clone. If I manage to make it over agian, it will be coming with me.
Zero hasn`t budged on my carbine. Didn`t budge on a C9 either.

I must say I worked with both ELCAN and Eotech on my tour and I didnt hade any problems with both..

Anyways, if you want to build the rifle, I think its well known that Elcan is very comon on most diemaco's.. So I would go for that one..
